Cookies Policy

Last updated Oct 29, 2024

This Cookies Policy refers exclusively to the CAD Rooms Platform (“Platform”) on cadrooms.com, including any subdomains, mobile versions, or localized versions. It explains how and why Wikifactory Ltd (“Wikifactory”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “ours”) uses Cookies and other similar technologies (e.g., pixels, web beacons, clear GIFs) to provide a reliable and enhanced Platform and services to our Users. This Cookies Policy must be read and understood as an integral part of CAD Rooms' Privacy Policy.

1. Definitions and Characteristics of Cookies and Similar Technologies

A “cookie” is a small text file placed and stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website, mobile app, or online platform. Cookies help online service providers like CAD Rooms serve different purposes, such as enhancing user experience, understanding usage patterns, and offering personalized services.

Pixels, web beacons, and clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, used to track user interactions on the Platform and with our content. We use these to personalize content, understand User behavior, and gauge the effectiveness of our communications, including emails.

Cookies can either be temporary (deleted automatically at the end of a session) or permanent (stored on the User’s device until deleted by the User or they expire). CAD Rooms uses cookies to recognize Users across sessions, remember preferences, and provide customer support or targeted messaging.

The Platform places both First-Party Cookies (set directly by Wikifactory) and Third-Party Cookies (set by other domains or services), enabling personalized features, functionalities, and analytics. Trusted partners like Google and LinkedIn also use cookies to provide relevant advertising and enhance Platform functionality on landing pages only.

2. Types of Cookies and Similar Technologies Used on the Platform

Essential Cookies: These cookies are used to collect basic information that is required for the functioning of CAD Rooms, such as language preferences when logged out or identifying the User when logged in. These cookies are provided by CAD Rooms (Wikifactory Ltd). Essential cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the Platform to our Users. You may block or delete them by managing browser settings, as outlined below under “How to Manage and Control Cookies on Browsers”.

Customization and Support Cookies: These cookies are used to tailor the Platform experience based on your preferences, measure the effectiveness of communications, and facilitate customer support conversations. These cookies are provided by Hubspot. To refuse these cookies, follow the instructions below under “How to Manage and Control Cookies on Browsers”. For further information, please see Hubspot's Cookies Policy.

Analytics Cookies: Analytics cookies collect information in aggregate form to help us understand how CAD Rooms is being used and identify issues related to accessibility or performance. These cookies are provided by Google Analytics. You can opt out by using the Google Analytics Opt-Out link or by managing your browser settings.

Social and Advertising Cookies: These cookies allow Users to interact with content from certain third-party services for advertising and analytics purposes. These cookies are implemented only on landing pages, not in the main application or Desktop App. These cookies are provided by LinkedIn and Google. Control these cookies through the respective third-party privacy settings or follow instructions in “How to Manage and Control Cookies on Browsers”.

CAD Rooms also uses localStorage, an industry-standard technique used to store data locally, such as drafts of collaborative projects. Although important for the smooth operation of CAD Rooms, Users may control or withdraw consent to localStorage as described below.

3. How to Manage and Control Cookies on Browsers

Users have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. By default, most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, Users can manage and disable CAD Rooms and third-party cookies directly from their browser settings. Below are links to the support pages for managing cookie settings for commonly used browsers:

Users may also express consent to specific cookies on the CAD Rooms Platform, as outlined in the table above. Note that cookie preferences must be configured separately on each device and browser used to access the Platform.

Important: Lack of consent to use essential cookies may lead to difficulties using CAD Rooms and accessing certain content or services. Users withdrawing consent to non-essential cookies may still use CAD Rooms, but certain features may be unavailable or may not function as intended. Users are encouraged to manage consent for third-party cookies directly through the respective third-party’s settings and privacy policies.

4. Changes to This Cookies Policy

From time to time, CAD Rooms may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for legal or operational reasons. Users will be notified of updates via banners on the Platform or email. The date at the top of this Cookies Policy indicates when it was last updated.
